The Council of Europe

The Council of Europe (CoE) is a very old organization. Its constitutional organs are the Committee of Ministers, which consists of the foreign ministers of every member country, the Parliamentary Assembly made up of MPs from the Parliament of each member country, and the Secretary General is the head of secretariat of the Council of Europe (CoE).

The Commissioner for Human Rights is an autonomous establishment within the Council of Europe, instructed to persuade the knowledge of and esteem for human rights in the member nations.
Some of the most well-known bodies of the Council of Europe are the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), which enforces the European Convention on Human Rights, and the European Pharmacopoeia Commission.

The CoE's work has resulted in conventions, standards and charters to assist support between European nations and further incorporation. The Council of Europe (CoE) was set up on May 5, 1949 by the Treaty of London. The Statute of the Council of Europe (CoE) was signed in London by 10 Countries. A lot of states followed, particularly after the democratic transitions in Eastern and Central Europe at the time of the early 1990s, and the Council of Europe (CoE) now includes all European states except Kazakhstan, Kosovo Belarus, and Vatican City and Belarus.

The most well-known accomplishment of the CoE is the European Convention on Human Rights, and it was adopted in 1950 by the Council of Parliamentary Assembly of Europe. The European Convention created the European Court of Human Rights. The ECHR supervises obedience with the Convention on Human Rights and thus working as the chief European court for human rights. The Europeans can bring cases if they think that a member nation has violated their fundamental rights.

So far as membership is concerned The Council of Europe (CoE) has 47 European States, 5 observers’ council, and 3 observers’ Assembly.
